Mamá Digital

(Digital Mom). Mama Digital focuses on the importance of ICT education in women’s economic participation and productivity. More broadly, the group contributes to social development by addressing the digital divide between men and women in Mexico. Founded in 2011, the organization conducts meetings, courses, workshops, conferences, and networking events. Courses focus on the benefits of digital technology and how women, particularly mothers, can engage in the digital world. Mamá Digital also encourages social connections with family, friends, and business associates. The group provides free online courses on using Internet browsers, email accounts, and social media sites. In its 2013 annual report, Mamá Digital reported that it supported 4,690 people through workshops and conferences and thousands more through online and live streaming courses and workshops.
