Small Entrepreneur Research Assistance Programme (SERAP)

A service offered by the Innovation and Technology Commission, this program plays the role of angel investor with minimal government intervention. The aim is to support Hong Kong, China innovation and entrepreneurship through financial assistance to technology companies. Qualifying companies must have less than 20 employees and be seeking pre-venture capital stage financing. From its establishment in 2000 to the end of March 2013, 367 projects were approved totaling HK$416 million in funding.
